Theory or Practicals?

There are many courses media related courses available today. Under graduate courses provide a good gronding in theory, but are extremely limited in the practical knowledge necessary to be successful in the industry. This has been a complaint from the media houses for a long time, interviewees are not trained enough in actual work that they are supposed to perform. The industry has to spend a lot of time making them ready to take on the challenges of working at the ground level, be it journalism, advertising, public relations, or in the entertainment industry in film making, editing, cinemtography, script writing, or even digital content production and marketing. This is mainly because of the limitations of the undergraduate courses, offering a 75:25 ratio of theory:practicals.

However, MET Institute of Mass Media has adopted a pedagogy where theory is taught throug practical training, turning the ratio from 75:25 to 25:75 in favour of practical training, making students highly employable and industry ready.

Following are the industry oriented courses @MET Institute of Mass Media:

Advanced Diploma in Mass Media - Advertising

Advanced Diploma in Mass Media - Entertainment

Advanced Diploma in Mass Media - Digital Marketing
